As couples globally are facing the COVID-19 pandemic, taking the right actions and navigating this ever-evolving scenario is proving to be challenging for many. Like you, making daily decisions through the lens of how to best be safe, employees and partners safe and healthy can be life-changing.
HERE IS OUR STORY!
My bestfriend and I decided to get married on the same day to create an historic Pentecostal Wedding. Our wedding was initially scheduled to happen with 500 guest at the Convention Center in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Of course this is our first 'hurdle' as we would now need to scale from 500 - 50 guest as this was a stipulation by the government in Jamaica. It was very hard but we finally moved along with the times and decided to host with only close relatives and friends. Our remaining guest would be joining us on Zoom and Facebook live.
Next, we later booked for the Holiday Inn since we didn't need a huge venue anymore. Only few months away from the wedding we were advised that the hotel will be closing down due to the impact of the COVID-19. 'Can things get any worst'.... SIGH! Yes we dreaded the news but we had to deal with it.
We quickly sprung into action and started calling other venues located in Montego Bay. Thankfully, we were given another offer to host at a smaller location closer to the two we had previously cancelled. We are still 2 months away from the big day and can only hope for the best.
Our superb vendors which includes our florist, decorator, photographer, baker, catering team and planning team had been very patient and understanding and we are grateful for the journey with them.
